Ilja Niederkirchner was born 1980 in East Berlin. In 2013 he decided to become a photographer and started studying photography at Neue Schule für Fotografie Berlin, which he graduated from in 2017. His first work „The Only Thing That Matters“ a personal fictional love story was published in 2016 in Die Nacht Magazin and 2017 by Calin Kruse at Die Nacht Publishing as a book. Ilja Niederkirchner is working in between documentary, personal and fictional storytelling. Currently he is working with the photographers Freya Copeland and Youvalle Levy on his second book Greek Dog Days to be published at Replika Publishing this year.
